December 2018 - Present

36-hole private golf facility featuring golf courses designed by Tom Fazio (Championship Course) and Arthur Hills (Riverview Course), $2.5M budget, 35,000 annual rounds. The Championship Course was renovated in 2014 by Tommy Fazio II, which included a greens renovations to USGA specification with SubAir drainage. The Championship Course was home to the 2017 Senior PGA Championship and is currently ranked the 8th best course in Virginia (Golf Digest, 2021).

– Hire, train,and educate all staff members which include Hispanic, contracted labor, young adults, and retirees to meet club expectations.

– Integral part of planning capital and operation budget of over $2.5 million dollars.

– Created yearly chemical & fertilizer programs on Championship Course; eliminated all unnecessary inputs, allowing a greater focus on previously undermaintained areas.

– Meticulousy manage all water use on golf course in order to preserve water and create firm playability, while maintaining turf health.

– Planned and collaborated, both contracted and in house construction projects, such as green and tee renovations, rebuilding of bunkers to the Better Billy Bunker drainage methods, and large-scale fairway drainage projects.

– Provided firm and fast, tournament quality course conditions for a playability- driven membership on a Championsionship style layout.

– Managed grow- in of 20 USGA specification sand based greens, after greens renovation by Tommy Fazio II.

– Detail- driven record keeping such as chemical & fertilizer applications and inventory, labor tracking, equipment usage, and water withdrawal on property.

– Executed key role in course preparation leading up to 2017 PGA Senior Championship; organized and executed agronomic and staffing scheduling leading to successful championship course conditions.

18- hole private, member owned, course designed by Robert White with ongoing master plan renovations. $1.6M budget, 18,000 rounds annually. Family- oriented club with non-golf property assets including 8 Har-Tru tennis courts, a paddle court facility, and a pool house which is all maintained by the grounds team.

– Acquired communication skills to respectfully educate all staff and membership about course conditions and the importance of all agronomic practices conducted on the golf course.

– Developed skills and art of managing Poa/ Bentgrass greens to deliver green speeds and firmness demanded by membership.

– Assisted in the renovation of 3 holes; new tees added, fairway expansion, rebuilding of bunkers, and re-shaping of green surrounds
